His Holiness Dalai Lama is all set to visit Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in the first week of April amidst stark protest by China against his visit to Arunachal which it claims as the part of the communist nation.
Guwahati, 21st of March, 2017: Defying the threats of China, Indian Government has cleared all specualtions by allowing the adorned spiritual leader of Tibet His Holiness Dalai Lama to visit Arunchal Pradesh in the first week of April next.
The office of His Holiness has declared his tourney today that he will set out for Guwahati on April 1st and will stay there till 3rd of April attending a number of programmes including public-talks, interactions and launch of his autobiography, My Land and My People in the Assamese titled ‘Mur desh aru Mur Manuh’.
As per the schedule, from 5th to 7th of April, Dalai Lama will give teachings at Yiga Choezin in Tawang. On 10th of April, he will give teachings at Thupsung Dhargyeling Monastery in Dirang.
An Assamese version of the first autobiography by His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be released at the IIT, Guwahati on 2nd of April. Originally titled ‘My Land and My People’ and already published in various other languages, Mor Desh aru Mor Manuh is the first Assamese version of any book written by the spiritual leader of Tibet.
